Contextual Help - Time Report

The Time Report gives you an overview of the time sheets filled out by one or all users assigned to one or all projects. This search can be performed on the user, project, time sheet status and week dates, and produce a weekly or monthly view.

This window has 3 parts: the title bar, the parameter selection and the view selection

  • The title bar tells you where you are in AceProject. At the end of the title bar you will find a link to contextual help. 
  • The parameter selection zone is used to filter the information you want in the report. 
    • Simply choose the filters. Filters may vary depending on the tab from which you are making the report
    • Dates are not mandatory: if you leave the "From" and "To" fields blank, AceProject will produce a report for all time sheets.
  • The View selection zone lets you decide what you want to view in your time report. 
    • The following views are available:
      • The "Weekly" view displays your time report, on a per-week basis, in accordance with the filters you have chosen. The sum of hours is displayed for each week, and the grand total is displayed for all weeks, on the bottom of the report.
      • The "Weekly by Day" view displays the same time report as you would get with the "Weekly" view, plus a detailed daily view.
      • The "Monthly" view displays your time report, on a per-month basis, in accordance with the filters you have chosen. The sum of hours is displayed for each month, and the grand total is displayed for all months, on the bottom of the report.
    • Two display options are available:
      • Check the "Display In/Out" box if you wish to display clocked in and clocked out time, for work items entered with the In/Out module.
      • Check the "Display Comments" box if you wish to display all comments entered by users in their timesheets.
    • Click the "Generate" button to pop up a window that includes your report. 
    • Click the "Export" button to open a window that will allow you to export your time report. Exportation is available in two formats: CSV and Microsoft Excel. The following criteria can be set: Column Delimiter, Decimal Symbol and Date Format.

The Time Report can be produced from three tabs: the "My Office" tab, the project's tab and the "Administration" tab.

  • In the "My Office" tab, you make the report for yourself. You can choose Time Type, the Project, Timesheet Status, the dates and the View.

  • In  the project's tab, you make the report for the project. You can choose Time Type, the User(s), the Project, Timesheet Status, the dates, the task, task group, task types, and the View.

  • In the "Administration" tab, you make the report for the whole account. You can choose Time Type, the User(s), the Project Type, the Project, Timesheet Status, the dates and the View.

What happens if my week dates are out of my search parameters' date range?
The time figure is replaced by hyphens (----) and is not counted in the totals provided.
